Tunica County Vocational Technical Center construction started in early 1987 and was completed in June 1988. The road to success, located north of Rosa Fort School, was a dream of many people, including then Representative Clayton Henderson, then current Superintendent G.W. Henderson, former Superintendent Bobby Papasan, and then School Board President Cliff Granberry, The center was ready for classes on August 17, 1988 with Mr. David Williams as the center's director. Mr. Williams was the former Agriculture Instructor at Rosa Fort High School and is a pioneer for educating children for academic achievement.
