What Does a School Counselor Do?

A school counselor works to ensure that ALL students are happy and able to do their best at school. If students are having challenges that affect their day, school counselors provide support to them through classroom lessons, small group counseling and brief individual counseling. School counselors provide a safe place where students can learn social emotional concepts as well as learn how to solve their own problems.
